Route 22 is a 14.07-mile long secondary state route within the U.S. state of Connecticut. It starts at Route 10 in Hamden heading east through North Haven to North Branford. After its junction with Route 17 in North Branford, it heads south ending at U.S. Route 1 at the North Branford–Guilford town line. It is a 2-lane minor arterial road for most of its length. Route 22 overlaps with Route 80 for 1.50 miles in North Branford, and with US 5 in North Haven for 0.66 miles. Route 22 is an L-shaped road that is signed East-West from Hamden to North Branford, and North-South from North Branford to Guilford.
