[edit] Commonwealth Games

Good work with the team articles for the 2006 Commonwealth Games. They are a handy start for the large amount of content that will become available over the next 10 odd days. Remy B 14:19, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:ThirdEmpire.png)

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:ThirdEmpire.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. OwenBlacker 06:22, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

This image isn't orphaned. It is on the Gallery of flags based on British ensigns. CommGood 12:22, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
You mentioned that the image is used on the Gallery of flags based on British ensigns, but that's the only place the image is used. As it's an image from a fictional alternate history, I'm not convinced it's appropriate for that Gallery (at least not without there being an article about the alt-history, and that article has been deleted. I still think it is appropriate to delete this image. — OwenBlacker 14:22, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

I disagree with you CommGood 17:10, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
I've moved this discussion to Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion, where I ought to have put this discussion in the first place. — OwenBlacker 00:11, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
