[edit] Shoot 'em up

Please support my nomination for this article. Go here to vote WP:GCOTW. Thanks!! --Larsinio 16:02, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey man ineed your help in my adding onto Shoot 'em up. It needs a lot of details added about hte gameplay for eaech of the shooter types: in gameplay terms and historical perspective. Thanks mucho! Btw Im almost done with gradius iv: fukkatsu's article --Larsinio 15:37, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
Big question are games like Commando (game), MERCS, Bloody Wolf. Guerilla War, considered shoot 'em ups? i think they do, they have hte same elements, but also include some dodging aspects, since the scope is much more varied, such as crawling and jumping. Plus similar games like Total Caranage have a strong military theme, yet are cdefinatley consisdered shoot em ups --Larsinio 01:52, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Some editors have used the classification third-person shooter for similar games, such as Zombies Ate My Neighbors. But according to the TPS article, 3D graphics are a requirement so we might have to think of a different term, Overhead shooter perhaps? Vic Vipr 11:42, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
I asked around and the asnwer i got is that contra and Commando (game), are both run and guns, just from different perspectives. So overhead shooters like Shock Troopers are actually run and guns. This makes sense to me because its what you spend itme in the game doing, and a game like Super C has elements of both types in differente levels. I added a sectiona bout run and guns, labeling it as a sub-genre of shoot em up.

[edit] Heres my plan:

I want to create the Run and gun game article, should it be named this or Run 'n gun or Run and gun or Run 'n gun game.
Do you agree with its classification as a sub genre of shoot'em up?
Im thinkign about making one of this right aliogned vertical style see {{Drinking game series}} for shoot em up games.

Rail shooter Shoot 'em up

can you go over what i wrote about run and guns in Shoot 'em up, and please ensure im not making it up completley out of my ass.. --Larsinio 17:24, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
In the spirit of abbreviations (shoot 'em up), I have to say that I prefer Run 'n gun. And I agree with your propositions so far.
Oh yeah, that template looks pretty cool!
Would oyu consider Jackal (video game) a run in gun? I would. I think tthe main criteria is two-dimensional movement, which includes rotation of the protagonist, correct? On teh same token would be the game Breakthrough, also bed a run in gun? to mee its more of a vehicular combat, or a 3/4 view shooter. 3/4 view shoote rwould probably be my ideal definition. --Larsinio 21:02, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gradius

Do you want to help me flesh out and reorganize the mess that is the Gradius series? im making a template as we speak that will map out what we have to do in red links Considering your name, and your attention towards games with multiple bullets, I think this is right up your alley. --larsinio 23:45, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

I'd be delighted to. Could you please point me to your template so I can get an idea of what needs to be done? :Cheers --Vic Vipr 00:05, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

I think we should take the time to prioritize our Gradius improving gameplan. My thoughts

1. Develop gradius series page (move most of the stuff in Gradius right now) 1b. Cleanup Gradius article 1c. synchronize template 2. Finish this life force/salamander/nes merging 3. Cleanup Vic Viper (get to FA?)

THe console versions are somewhat remixed, but we should use arcade as a basis then put a "differences between arcade adn snes) 4. Develop stubs for all gradius main series articles 5. Start fleshing out gradius main series articles 6. start on Parodious series of games

Hey man wahts up, i havent seen you active much lately. Can you do some combing over of the established gradius articles, and ill go on to create salamander 2, gradius 4, and some more? --~~
What do you want to go for next? If you could flesh out Gradius Galaxies id be highly appreciative.--Larsinio 16:57, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
I'll do some research and see if I can add a little more content to the article. -Vic Vipr 10:53, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Compilations? Eh I dunno theres a couple of approchaes. Just make one article Gradius compilations, with all other things redirecting there. The compilations do have a bunch of extra features like video aartwork and so on, so it might worth mentioning. As far as individual game changes and stuff, it shoudl keep on the respective pages. --Larsinio 20:28, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

List of gradius titles i feel is still important as its pretty flesshed out. We could rip out the parodious or misc aspects but i think it should stay the same. Lord British should not have it sown article, if it did, then wed have to make one for Jade Knight. I am workin on a Pentarou article (the penguin from several konami games) whihc would be related. Merge Lord British (ship) into Vic Viper. Vic Viper still nedes a good cleanup, we can focus on that for a little bit I think. We shoudl especialy find some better images to use. --Larsinio 15:34, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Need your vote

Hey one of the articles i started, Smurf Communism is up for deletion [1]. Can you please vote keep? (If you agree that is) --Larsinio 14:38, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Help with Translation!?

Can you help translate this for me to swedish? Many thanks in advance!

For a small country, Albania is endowed with considerable resources. The southwestern part of the country is rich in petroleum and natural gas. The northeastern region has substantial reserves of metallic mineral deposits, including chromium, copper, and iron-nickel. Large deposits of lignite (soft coal) are found near Tiranë, and natural asphalt is mined near Selenicë.

Albania is also rich in rivers and streams with significant hydroelectric potential. These have been exploited quite effectively, making the country an energy exporter. A number of huge hydroelectric power plants have been built, mainly on the Drin River, and more than half of the country's arable land is irrigated, largely from the artificial reservoirs created upstream of the dams.

[edit] Gradius Legacy

The Gradius#Legacy section is blank currently. Could you help me out with this? I imagine we can just cook something together from the gradius series page. --Larsinio
