Name: Atlee Yarrow Age: 39
I'm a student during the day working on my B.A.E. degree. I have come here in order to place and review parts of the socialist history which might be missing or lost which can only come from sources that may be hand written or firsthand accounts, or some public records not always accessable on the internet.
Currently I am a candidate for Governor of Florida 2006 as the Socialist Party of Florida WRI, write-in candidate.
[edit] About the username
I choose this name based on the events of the Russian Revolution of 1905 where 500 workers were murdered in the streets by the Czar's army. This is an event little talked about where shortly after the future government of the U.S.S.R. was jailed or on the run after being repressed by the Czar's army. I use this name in many venues and it has become a sort of cyber nickname for me. Most people who know me see this name in Russian also, Красный Oктябрь.
I have not taken this name to promote the NBP in anyway. I chose this name to reverence of the workers who took a stand for freedom and not dictatorship. I would not want this epoch to be forgotten, similarly the many other workers who even today take a stand, know, even on small issues, they are not alone. I ask that all workers fight for freedom in the name of those who came before us in this struggle.

I've been looking into missing members of the different socialist groups from history.
Other than this, I am in two main outside groups related to educational practice: Socialist Library Project and Florida Election Times which is basically the newsletter group to the Write-in Candidate Coalition.

I am a member of the Socialist Party USA and an officer of the Socialist Party of Florida. I keep most of the paperwork on the state level and make every effort to record for our history a factual truth for future historians.
[edit] Articles I started
Socialist Party of Florida I started this in an attempt to record our political history. Most of the history was lost during past witch hunts during the Red Scare both at the turn of the century and during the Joe McCarthy era. The fact is a few were recorded into state history as running for office yet vanished into thin air. Human being should not disappear into nothingness, so I record our history.
