Computerization

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Computerization is the conversion of a practicably relevant system to one that is computer coordinated, from whatever it may have been before. The ways in which this can be applied, are almost limitless. Any form of accounting process, for example, may be replaced by spreadsheets, or some similar financially orientated software; which may then be synchronized with whatever clerical application it is intended to be utilized for. Records and information stored in office files and folders; may be replaced by databases.

Every mode of scientifically applied task, relating to calculation, measurement and gauging, may be accomplished more speedily, cheaply and efficiently through computerization, than by means of human agency.

The easy access of computers to the internet, gives them a wealth of advantages, neither possible nor seriously considered before their introduction.

Computers, also, may be attuned to communication satellites, enabling them to supply important data relating to areas such as weather forecasting and directional (even geographically directional) alignment.
