Compton is a village and civil parish in the English county of Berkshire, located near the start of River Pang valley, in the Berkshire Downs. It is the home of the Institute for Animal Health.
Compton is the home of The Downs School which is a school which has been consistently mentioned in the Queen's Annual Inspector's report. It was awarded Language College Status recently. It has frequently finished above all other non-private schools for the A-Level, GCSE and KS3 results tables in Berkshire.
