[edit] Market matrix
Apple follows a product matrix of having a model of computer for both consumers and professionals, in both desktop and portable configurations. This provides a useful background as to the intended market for each Macintosh product.

[edit] Specifications
Note that prices in euros vary from country to country; the price for Belgium is shown as a rough guide. Combo means a Combo Drive, which includes a CD reader, writer and DVD reader; a SuperDrive can also write and rewrite DVD discs. The pink rows differentiate the professional product lines from the consumer products, which have a blue background.
Every current Mac uses DDR2 SDRAM memory and Serial ATA hard drives. Dedicated graphics cards in Macs use the PCI Express bus.
