Coming Up is the third album by Suede, released by Nude Records in 1996. It was the band's first album since the departure of guitarist Bernard Butler, who was replaced by Richard Oakes. Also added to the band was keyboardist Neil Codling.
The album was a massive success, removing many fans' doubts about the band's new line-up. It spawned five top 10 singles and the album charted at number one. Where Dog Man Star is slow-moving and gloomy, Coming Up comprises sleazy and pop-filled fun, with memorable hooks and catchy guitar riffs.
In 2000 Q magazine placed Coming Up at number 96 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever.
