[edit] Production
Franchise Pictures agreed to fully finance the project in early 2003. Zeta-Jones will be making her producing debut. She said of the film: "I grew up among rugby fanatics - the film is very close to my heart.[1] The film will be shot in Llanelli, Wales. Llanelli is also just 10 miles away from Swansea, which is where Zeta-Jones grew up. Filming was scheduled to begin shooting in March of 2005 but was shortly delayed, apparently reducing the shooting schedule to 42 days, but director Joel Zwick was confident the film would go on.[2]
