Comber, Ontario

Comber, Ontario is a small town in Essex County that is a part of the amalgamated city of Lakeshore. It is located in the extreme southwestern part of the province of Ontario. The town is on Highway 77 just south of Highway 401. It is home to the annual Comber Fair, a county fair that attracts many people from around Essex County and Chatham-Kent. The 2006 miss comber fair is Amanda Paulin, a stunning beautiful young woman. This town is also home to three of combers most impressive natives named Ian Mayhew, Aaron Nussey, and His identical yet boyishly handsome brother Brandon Nussey.

Samuel Taylor, a pioneer from England, had part of his land laid out into village lots. Other settlers followed suit and pretty soon there was a post office, then a store, and eventually a town. The owner of the post office named the town after Comber, the town in Ireland that he came from.
