Combat Wounded Veteran

Combat Wounded Veteran or Combatwoundedveteran is a powerviolence/grindcore/screamo band from Tampa, Florida. They played in a style differing from the first generation of emoviolence bands, and were influenced by and sounded like bands such as Charles Bronson. Combatwoundedveteran released only one proper album, I Know A Girl Who Develops Crime Scene Photos (1999), before splitting up, though they have released numerous split 7"s and in March of 2005, No Idea Records released a large compilation of such records, entitled This is Not an Erect, All-Red Neon Body. Despite such limited output, the band has gained much underground clout and popularity, much as their contemporary Charles Bronson has. The band member line up has alternatingly been Chris Norris on vocals, then later on guitar, Davy on guitar, Dan Radde on bass & vocals, Dan "Ponch" on bass & vocals, then later on vocals only, Mark on drums, Jeff Howe on bass, and sometimes appearing Jason Hamacher on drums, Bill on guitar & Gavin on guitar and vocals. Ponch now sings in the Tampa crust band Holy Mountain.
