[edit] About Me and Wikipedia

I am a post-secondary student who resides in Surrey, British Columbia, a city 40 KM southeast of Vancouver. Currently, I am in the midst of moving to Edmonton, Alberta, the capital city of that particular province.

I have been using Wikipedia for a number of years, and now I feel that I should contribute. My wiki philosophy takes on a centrist view of things, meaning that I want to make sure things are as neutral as possible. Other goals include to add more media to various articles, and to also remove stubs that are for articles originating from my locale.

While I will be contributing to Wikipedia in only the English language, je comprendre la langue Français avec confiance, と私は日本語に学生で勉強します。

My first article contribution was an edit of the Canada Line Project. I added an image showcasing the current construction.

Any media contributions of my own will be licensed under Creative Commons, as I do host my photos elsewhere.

Stuff that I am currently testing can be viewed in my sandbox. Also, if you wish to see my Wikipedia start page, click here.

[edit] Outside of Wikipedia

I work for an Internet Service Provider that provides its service all over North America. My current major in school is History, particularly in the history of Canada. My interests include computers, anime, politics, and reading.

One thing I also do is take photos. I own a digital camera and have more of an interest in taking photos of scenery than of people; my friends comment this to me quite often, and it shows.

I am also a Catholic, but I take a very liberal view and go against some of the teachings the Church is currently presenting to us. I believe that my religion can reform itself, as it has done so many, many times.

[edit] Some Humour

I requested that Luna-san vandalise my page. Here is what he came up with. You'll want to check out the history for August 15th to view the edit.

Countesy of Memorable Quotes from Alt.SysAdmin.Recovery...

[Re: The Four Horsemen]
Don't you mean...

  • "The Internet is down." meaning "I accidentally took my printer off line"
  • "The Internet is down." meaning "I fiddled with my registry and now my computer won't boot"
  • "The Internet is down." meaning "I forgot my password" and
  • "The Internet is down." meaning "My favourite porn site isn't responding"
Paul Tomblin

This may apply to Wikipedia quite well...

Give a loser a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a loser to fish and he'll bug you for life:

"My bait's not working, but I haven't changed anything!"
"The river's gone down. Fix it!"
"Why is the net so slow today?"
-- Malcolm Ray

"I keep on getting my line caught on myself - why is it so hard to fish ?"
"Can I surf the river ?"
"I fell in the river and now I'm all wet - fix things so that I don't get wet when I fall in"
"Why can't the fish just jump out of the river into my frying pan ? It would make fishing so much easier"
"What is a fish ?"
"I can't fish" (which could be anything from not having a fishing rod to using a brick for bait).
-- Simes

Light a fire for a luser and he'll be warm for a night; set a luser on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
-- fun

Give a man dynamite and soon the village will be showered with mud and rocks and unrecognisable bits of fish.
-- Peter Gutmann
