[edit] Columbia University tie-in?

I recall reading in an article from a Columbia University Alumni publication about the university's ties to the early movie studios. One of the claims was that this studio was named as a tip-of-the-hat to the University. Anybody else read this? Dyl 15:34, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
