Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center is an arts center located in downtown Colorado Springs. It includes the following departments:
- The Taylor Museum houses many Spanish Colonial and Native American arts of the Southwest in addition to other permanent works and travelling shows.
- The Performing Arts department features a Repertory Theatre Company which produces a regular schedule of dramatic works, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Pirates of Penzance, Into the Woods, South Pacific, and much, much more.
- The Bemis School of Art offers art education to the local community.
Also available are a museum shop and a library available to Fine Arts Center members.
[edit] 2006-2007 Renovation and Expansion
In 2006 the Center began a construction project intended to expand and renovate the Center's facilities from 88,388 to 132,286 gross square feet. This project is expected to cost $28.4 million USD and is expected to conclude in the fall of 2007. During construction, the Center's exhibits have been moved to a new permanent satellite location, the FAC Modern, in downtown Colorado Springs.
