Colonie Central High School

Colonie Central High School is a public high school in Albany, New York. In 2005 it had 1,886 students and 132 classroom teachers. It is part of the South Colonie Central School District. The building principal is David Wetzel.

The school is 71% White, 19% Black, 6% Hispanic, 3% Asian, and 1% American Indian as of 2005-2006 school year. The New York State average is 70% White and 30% minority.

The school sports teams are known as the "Garnet Raiders". School colors are Garnet and Gold. Colonie competes in the Blue Division of the Suburban Council or Division III of Class AA in Section II of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. The Varsity football team advanced to the Section II Class AA Super Bowl in 2006, but were defeated by CBA.
