Colloquy is an open-source IRC and SILC client for Mac OS X. In the past it used Irssi as its IRC protocol engine; now it has its own chat core that is also included as part of the ChatKit project. Supports customizable message views using XSLT and Apple Computer's WebKit renderer.

The software supports plugins enabling integration with the OS X environment, and provides a user interface consistent with other Macintosh applications in addition to traditional IRC command-line controls.
