Collegium Musicum de Caracas

The Collegium Musicum de Caracas was a classical musical group, founded by Evencio Castellanos, in the 1960s, this group was conformed by a distinguished number of solo musicians, under the direction of Gonzalo Castellanos.
This group presented great contributions to the Venezuelan classic music, it demonstrated in Venezuela and other countries, the quality of a grouping of this nature.
Between some important works of the grouping, we can mention:
- Ballet miniatura, of Blanca Estrella de Méscoli, winner of the 1965 national prizes of music.
- Sinfonieta Satírica of Inocente Carreño.
