The collared carpetshark, Parascyllium collare, is a carpetshark of the family Parascylliidae found off eastern Australia, between latitudes 26° S and 38° S, at depths of between 20 and 160 m. Its length is up to 85 cm.

The collared carpetshark has a caudal fin with its upper lobe not elevated above the body axis, with a strong terminal lobe and subterminal notch but no ventral lobe. It is a common but little-known shark found on the continental shelf.

Coloration is light yellowish to reddish-brown, with a prominent dark brownish collar around the gills, five dusky saddles, and dark spots on the body, tail and fins.

Reproduction is oviparous, with flattened, elongate egg-cases.
