Colin Campbell (Scottish politician)

Colin Campbell (born 31 August 1938, Paisley) is a Scottish politician. He was educated in the town's Paisley Grammar School. He was a Scottish National Party (SNP) Member of the Scottish Parliament for West of Scotland region from 1999 to 2003.
In the 1999 Scottish election, he stood as a constituency candidate in West Renfrewshire, where he finished second behind Labour's Trish Godman. A head teacher before his 1999 election, he had previously stood for election to the House of Commons on behalf of the SNP on 3 occasions, and for election to the European Parliament twice, failing on each occasion.
In Holyrood, he was defence spokesman for the SNP, and retired from politics in 2003.
