[edit] Transport and Road network
- There are two major roads in Colden Common—the B3354 and the A335. The B3354 is named as the Main Road whilst it passes through the village, and the A335 is called Highbridge Road.
- The two major roads meet at a fork, just north of the village, outside of the parish boundary. The two roads are connected by another road (named Church Lane [on the east] and Brambridge [on the west]), which make the network appear to be like a capital 'A'. The main village residential areas are contained on minor roads within the 'triangle-shape', with houses also following the route of the two major roads.
- The resulting road, north of the fork, is the B 3335, which runs to Winchester's High Street (B 3040), via Twyford, and a motorway junction with the M3 Motorway
- Also the B 2177 meets the B 3354 at the Fishers Pond part of the village, and ultimately arrives at Portsmouth, via Bishops Waltham.
- Southampton Airport is 5 miles south of the village
- The M3 Motorway is 3 miles west of the village.
