Cold 187um

Cold 187um a.k.a. Big Hutch, born Gregory Fernan Hutchinson on (born August 2, 196?), , in Pomona, CA, is an African American rapper and producer, and the lead act of G-funk rap group Above the Law.

While growing up in the Inland Empire, Cold 187um was into jazz and p-funk music. He became a member of Pomona's Ghost Town Crips, although he has worn red in his music videos to show respect for both gangs. Cold 187um and his group would sign to Eazy-E's Ruthless Records with N.W.A. and The D.O.C.; he claims that while Dr. Dre was still signed to the label, he heard 187um working on G-Funk beats for Above the Law's second album Black Mafia Life and stole the sound.

In 1996 he and ATL switched to Tommy Boy Records. He has worked with Dirty Red, Kokane, Leicy Loc, Knight Owl and DJ Yella.
