[edit] Merge

Seems like it'll make the article alittle to long. Maybe find a split somewhere? Otherwise, Total agree.  :) Joe I 12:26, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure, but I think that the phrasing "Canadian Coinage" is more in line with what other articles are called. Compare to British coinage, United States coinage, Scottish coinage. The only other article I see in the format "Coins of ___" is Coins of South Africa. These should all be standardized in some manner eventually. I will put the question up to Wikipedia:WikiProject Numismatics. Please wait on the merge until they tell us which naming format to use. --DDG 19:08, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Strongly support the merge. And the standardization of the article name style. --Chochopk 05:58, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

I think this article should be merged into the History section of Canadian coinage. I do not think it will make an overly long article--it will add more depth to the coinage article. Regarding standardization, does 'currency' include both coinage and banknotes? Could we not merge coinage and banknote articles for countries into one called Currency? Just a thought... Support merge (don't care which one into which, but one article only). Also add the coinage sections from Royal Canadian Mint. -- P199 14:35, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
