Cogoleto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 25 km west of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 9,091 and an area of 20.3 km2.[1]

The municipality of Cogoleto contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Lerca, Sciarborasca, and Pratozanino.

Cogoleto borders the following municipalities: Arenzano, Sassello, Varazze.
