Coelurosaurus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Coelurosaurus" (meaning "Hollow-tailed lizard") was named but not described in a 1914 paper by von Huene. It was probably a mis-spelling of the theropod group Coelurosauria and is considered a nomen nudum because it has never been formally described. Although the name appears frequently in various lists of dinosaurs, without a description, the name "Coelurosaurus" has no scientific status.
