Talk:Coda (file system)

How current is this information ? The article says AFS does not have Linux Kernel 2.6 support. I doubt that this is still true for current OpenAFS implementations.
- Coda is supported in 2.6, but it's not ready for production. Load testing with bonnie crashes venus, the client daemon, reliably (see some report at http://coda.wikidev.net/Main_Page). The development seems to have stopped pretty much, with focus in the network filesystem community moving to GFS, Lustre and similar. Gabriel Wicke 22:45, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
I did a major rewrite today; the explanations of Coda's functionality are still inadequate, but I feel this is a large improvement over the previous bulleted page. Sources are not cited but are available in the white papers found at Coda's official web site. Adam Wolbach 18:23, 21 Mar 2006 (EST)
