Dead Or Alive: Code Chronos (DOA:CC) is the codename for an upcoming game currently in development by Tecmo.

Originally announced for the Xbox console at the 2002 Tokyo Game Show, creator Tomonobu Itagaki has since stated that production of this game has been shifted to the Xbox 360 platform.[citation needed]

On July 2003, Itagaki made the following statement: "Code Chronos will not be a fighting game. We have been expanding the Dead or Alive franchise as you know and this will be another expansion." [citation needed]

In a July 2006 interview with Play Magazine, Itagaki stated that Code Chronos will in fact be a prequel and will relay the story of characters Ayane and Kasumi before the first tournament.
