Coat of arms of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The coat of arms of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted on November 5, 1996.
The green background and the golden fleur-de-lys represents the Bosniaks, while the chequy shield represents the Bosnian Croats.
The ten stars arranged in a circle represent the 10 cantons of the Federation, even though there is a great resemblance to the flag of the European Union.
The Federation entity is part of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has its own coat of arms, while the other entity Republika Srpska also has its own coat of arms.
