Coat of arms of Madagascar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The coat of arms of Madagascar includes an outline map of the island at the center (together with two smaller islands nearby), and below it the head of a native horned wildebeest. Colours used include red, green, yellow, black, and white. Green and red rays emanate from the State's map, making it look like the Sun.
The Seal is sourounded by REPUBLIKAN'I MADAGASIKARA which means The Republic of Madagascar and at the base TANINDRAZANA - FAHAFAHANO - FAHAMARINANA meaning Homeland - Revolution - Liberty, although various versions of the Constitution Article 4 have used other mottos.
