Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! — Gwalla | Talk 03:53, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the welcome! I'm a little confused about something. If there is a standard for inclusion for a category (say, webcomics) why is that standard not posted on the page about that category? From my point of view, I've been set up to have my first non-redirect article deleted. Cnoocy

- That's a good point. WikiProject Webcomics hasn't been very good at getting the word out. I didn't even realize until now that Webcomic, List of web comics, and Category:Web comics were missing wikiproject notices on their respective talkpages (behind-the-scenes stuff intended for editors rather than readers like this generally goes in talkpages) until now. I'm really sorry about all this—I know having an article you've worked on, particularly your first article, listed on VfD is pretty frustrating. — Gwalla | Talk 01:54, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
