The football club currently play in Primera B Metropolitana, which is the regionalised third tier of the Argentine football league structure.

The club were founded with the name Club Atlético Correos y Telégrafos, they changed it to their current name in 1953.

Club Comunicaciones have never played in the top flight in Argentina but they have won a number of minor league trophies.
