Club Atlético San Telmo are a football club from the Isla Maciel district of Avellaneda in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. They currently play in Primera B Metropolitana which is the regionalised third tier of Argentine football.
The club were founded in 1904 with the name San Telmo Football Club, which followed the Argentine tradition of giving their teams english names, other examples include; River Plate, Boca Juniors, Newell's Old Boys, Racing Club and Chaco For Ever.
The club changed to their current name in the 1920s. The clubs original colours were blue and white, they now play in blue and sky blue.
In 1975 the club were promoted to the Primera División, but their success did not last long as they were relegated in last place the very next season.
