[edit] The Inspiration for CloneArmyCommander
The inspiration for CloneArmyCommander came to me when I first saw Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the name being inspired by Commander Cody of the clone troops. Most Star Wars related names were taken, so I came up with something that was not as simple as the other names is Star Wars.

My real name is Alex, and I am a college student. My major is Computer Science, and my minor is in Math.

My first semester of college, I met the girl of my dreams. I am so lucky, because she likes many of the same things I do, including Star Wars. I love her very much.

I went to a beacon school for all four years of high school. A beacon school is within the public school system, but it is more focused on trying to improve public schools by trying new things on the students in the beacon schools. For example, every Wednesday we went out into the community for service learning.
I spent two years at a community college before transfering to a university, where I am now. Computer Science was a natural move for me, becuase I enjoy working with computers and learning new things about them. The minor in math is something I just fell into.

I am, of coarse, a Star Wars fan. Nothing beats Return of the Jedi. I enjoy movie watching in general. I also enjoy comedies, such as Office Space; fantasy, such as Lord of the Rings; and I enjoy horror movies, I like newer horror movies, but I love the cheesy old horror movies, such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Phantom of the Opera.
I love to listen to music. I love rock music, mostly classic rock. The Beatles are my favorite band. I also enjoy listening to Ozzy Osbourne (including his Black Sabbath years), Nirvana (band), and Led Zeppelin. My girlfriend got me hooked on country music. My favorite country singer is Keith Urban, but I also enjoy listening to Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss (she has such a pretty voice. . . though, not quite like my girlfriend's ;), and Hank Williams. I also enjoy the blues, mostly Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I enjoy reading, even though my girlfriend is amused by my starting more books than I can finish. I enjoy a wide range of books. I enjoy computer books, especially Programming Perl by Larry Wall; science fiction, such as Shadows of the Empire by Steve Perry (author); I also liked Jaws by Peter Benchley, and I highly recommend Free for All: How Linux and the Free Software Movement Undercut the High-Tech Titans by Peter Wayner.
I enjoy working with computers, of coarse. I have nothing against Microsoft Windows, but I enjoy working with Linux. When it comes to working with computers, nothing is more exciting than a good shell session. I especially enjoy programming. I have worked with HTML (including DHTML and XHTML), JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), XML, Perl, and C programming language. At the moment I am also working on trying to learn Assembly language.
When I am not studying, listening to music, watching movies, reading, or working on the computer, I am am usually watching TV. I do not watch a whole lot of TV, or follow too many shows. I enjoy watching SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, and Smallville (TV series), Iron Chef, and Emeril Live, and I also enjoy watching CMT.
Something I recently added to my list of things to do is Wikipedia surfing. I enjoy following internal links to see where I end up. I always learn something new.
