Cloverleaf Senior High School graduated its first class in 1961. At one time, the Cloverleaf Local School District comprised the largest geographical school district in the State of Ohio and includes the towns of Lodi, Westfield Center, Seville, Chatham, Lafayette and Chippewa Lake, as well as the vast rural areas between them. Several elementary schools, which include Lodi Primary (Grades K-2), Seville Intermediate (Grades 3-4), and Westfield Upper (Grades 5-6), feed into the middle (Grades 7-8)and high school (Grades 9-12). The school dsitrict has received the highest rating given in the state of Ohio, 'Excellent' for three consequetive years. Cloverleaf sports teams are members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and compete in the Suburban League. Cloverleaf High School has a successful marching band that annually qualifies for state competition. Cloverleaf High School's marching band has qualified for state for 27 straight years. Cloverleaf High School's Academic Challenge team has also been successful in recent years. In the 2005-2006 school year, Cloverleaf High School switched from it normal semester schedule to a trimester schedule in an effort to cut down on costs.

The 'Cloverleaf Colts' colors are green and white and the school mascot is the Colts. The school's main athletic and activities logo is a green horse shoe similar to that used by the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. The Cloverleaf fight song is based on "Go U Northwestern" from Northwestern University.
