Cloudride

Cloudride is a Swiss rock band from Basel. Cloudride's style is similar to British independent bands. First appearances took place in small clubs, nowadays Cloudride is performing at big festivals all across Switzerland.

Cloudride was founded in early 2001 and after some member changes the band began to record demos in spring 2002 and to participate at regional contests. In 2003 Cloudride played some bigger regional gigs and became well-known around Basel and successfully performed its first times abroad Switzerland. The first commercial release, the EP Behind my glasses, produced with support from the friendshipped band Godlike, hit the stores.
By the end of 2003 Cloudride established its own band room studio to rehearse continually. In May 2004 the second EP White Door, again with support of another band, Generic. Cloudride's performance became more frequent in the region; in June 2004 they played at the main stage of the annual Imagine festival. In 2005 they played also a few gigs in other regions of Switzerland.
Their first LP album "Overlooked" has been released in Switzerland on September 15, 2006.

The band's current members (since 2002) are Axel Rüst on vocals, Christian Kofler and Philipp Koch on guitar, Stefan Schneider on drums and Lorenz Bader on bass.
