Clinton Kelly is an American fashion consultant and media personality, known best for his role as a co-host on the makeover reality program What Not to Wear.
Kelly is from Long Island, and is of part-Italian ancestry.[citation needed] He graduated from Comsewogue High School in Port Jefferson Station, New York in 1987. During his undergraduate years, Kelly attended Boston College as a Communications major, graduating in 1991. While a student at Boston College, he was the president of the University Chorale. In 2006, Kelly returned to Boston College to teach a masters class. [1] Kelly also holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
Kelly honed his fashion expertise during his tenure as a fashion magazine editor for several noted publications. He was the executive editor of DNR, a New York-based weekly men's fashion and retail trade magazine. Prior to that, he was an editor at Marie Claire and a deputy-editor at Mademoiselle, where he was also a contributor under the pseudonym "Joe L’Amour". [2] [3]
Clinton co-hosts What Not to Wear with Stacy London. He is known for his warm humor and stylistic flair. Clinton is less aggressive than Stacy on the show, and often plays "good cop" to Stacy's blunt criticism of guests.
During the mid-1990s, Kelly hosted a program on QVC.
Clinton is openly gay in his personal and professional life, although his sexual orientation is only hinted about on the show. == References ==
