Clifton is a neighborhood in the north central part of Cincinnati in Ohio, United States. The area includes the Ludlow Avenue Shopping and Dining District. Clifton is situated around Clifton Avenue, north of Dixmyth Avenue, approximately three miles north of Downtown Cincinnati.

Side streets are lit using original gas lamps, hence the moniker "Clifton Gaslight."

The Ludlow Avenue area or Gaslight District (the business district of Clifton) contains many independent shops, restaurants and a movie theater specialising in independent and foreign films. The shops that call Ludlow home include no less than three Indian Restaurants, Ludlow Wine and Gifts, Sitwell's Coffee House, Keller's IGA, The Esquire Theatre cinema, Kilimanjaro African Heritage Shop, and numerous other specialty stores.*

The University of Cincinnati is located in Clifton Heights, University Heights, Avondale, and Corryville, neighborhoods that surround Clifton. Due to the proximity of the University, the neighborhood has an artistic and bohemian atmosphere.

Clifton is situated just up the hill from Northside, Cincinnati.
