[edit] History
Cliffwood beach was a popular resort in the early 1900s. It had a boardwalk and amusements. The small community, however, fell into decline after a horrific hurricane destroyed the boardwalk and eroded the beach. The township of Aberdeen could not afford to rebuild, so they left the boardwalk to decay. In 2000 a park which included a skating and baseball court was open near where the boardwalk had been.
