Cleveland Rocks
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Cleveland Rocks" by Presidents of the United States of America is a cover of a rock song originally written by Ian Hunter.
It served as the opening song for The Drew Carey Show. It is also seen as a de facto anthem in Cleveland, Ohio. In the late 1990s Australian radio station Triple M remade a parody of the song as part of a station promo - calling it "Triple M Rocks". As of Spring 2006, WLW in Cincinnati is playing a "Cleveland Sucks" parody to promote its coverage of Cincinnati Reds games by way of stoking the rivalry between the Reds and the Cleveland Indians which has evolved since the advent of interleague play.
