Cleveland Metroparks

The Cleveland Metroparks, one of several Ohio Metroparks, are a system of nature preserves in Greater Cleveland that encircle the city of Cleveland. These generally follow the river valleys that flow through the region to Lake Erie. Referred to affectionately as the "Emerald Necklace", this network of 16 reservations across 21,000 acres (8,500 ha) includes hundreds of miles of walking, bicycle, and horse trails, parks, picnic areas, five nature education centers, six golf courses, and abundant fishing holes. In addition, the park district manages the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Cleveland. Several of the parks are adjacent to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
While the majority of the parks are in suburban Cuyahoga County, the Brookside Reservation and portions of two others are in the city of Cleveland. Two of the parks lie outside Cuyahoga County. A portion of the North Chagrin Reservation is in Lake County, and the Hinckley Reservation is in Hinckley Township in Medina County.

There are seven golf courses in the Cleveland Metroparks System. They are:
- Big Met Golf Course in the Rocky River Reservation in Fairview Park
- Little Met Golf Course in the Rocky River Reservation in Cleveland
- Manakiki Golf Course in the North Chagrin Reservation in Willoughby Hills
- Mastick Woods Golf Course in the Rocky River Reservation in Cleveland
- Shawnee Hills Golf Course in the Bedford Reservation in Bedford
- Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in the Brecksville Reservation in Brecksville
- Washington Golf Learning Center in the Washington Reservation in Newburgh Heights
