Cleon Skousen

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Willard Cleon Skousen (January 20, 1913 - January 9, 2006) was a noted author, political commentator, and religious scholar. He is most known as author of The Naked Communist and the source of the oft distributed "1963 Communist Goals"[1] list. He later wrote a follow-up, The Naked Capitalist, based on Carroll Quigley's assertions made in his books Tragedy and Hope and The Anglo-American Establishment, which claim that top Western merchant bankers, industrialists and related institutions were behind the rise of Communism and Fascism around the world. The Naked Capitalist has been cited by many conspiracy theorists, including his nephew Joel Skousen, as proof of a "New World Order" strategy to create a One World Government.

[edit] Early life

Cleon was born in Alberta, Canada, though he spent time in Mexico and California as well. At the age of 17 he accepted a religious assignment as a missionary for his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Great Britain.

[edit] Public and Private Service

In June 1935 he began working for the United States Government (the Agriculural Adjustment Administration) immediately after graduating from San Bernardino Valley Jr. College, where he served as Student Body President. This helped lead to a career in the FBI the following year which lasted until 1951.

Dr. Skousen spoke out about the Socialist-Communist Conspiracy, speaking out against David Rockefeller and making the link between the big industrialists and their supposed enemies, the antithesis of the "barrons of capitol," the World Communist Leaders.

Dr. Skousen speaks of treason from within the US State Department, speaking of the treason and betrayal against China after WWII. Here is an excerpt of a speech Dr. Skousen gave in the 1970s, where he speaks to an LDS group aboard a cruise ship returning from Israel. In this excerpt, he speaks of the sham of Elections in the United States, claiming that for 10 elections, the US had not had a legitimate Election where there was truly a choice. He speaks of Chang Ki Shek's betrayal. [2]

Dr. Skousen spoke of David Rockefeller as being one of the most powerful men in the world, who praised Chairman Mao in a New York Times article in 1973 stating that this communist leader was one of the greatest leaders of the 20th century. Skousen blasts this notion and asks who would write or say such a thing, then responds that it was David Rockefeller, as mentioned in the afore mentioned clip.

He then went to Brigham Young University for 5 years, after which he served as the police chief of Salt Lake City, UT. He also edited the police journal "Law and Order".

He returned to Brigham Young University as a professor of religion until he retired in 1978.

He founded the National Center for Constitutional Studies and became known as a political lecturer [3].
