Clear Creek High School (Texas)

Clear Creek High School is a secondary school located in League City, Texas, in the Clear Creek Independent School District. The school serves most of League City, the cities of Kemah, Clear Lake Shores, and Nassau Bay, and Webster.
The school colors are maroon and white.

Dr. Fred Hayes is the current principal of CCHS. He was named to the position prior to the 2002-2003 school year. In 2005, he was named Outstanding Secondary Principal for the entire state of Texas. He will soon be leaving for a job as superintendent in Athens ISD. It is not known who the new principal will be.

Notable alumni of Clear Creek High School include:
- Jay Buhner (also known as "Bone"), Major League Baseball player (1982 graduate);
- Richard Garriott (also known as Lord British), designer of games such as Ultima and Akalabeth
- Riley Salmon, 2004 Olympic volleyball athlete, member of Italian pro team G.S. Volley Tomei Livorno [1] [2] [3]

The following elementary schools feed into Clear Creek High School: Bauerschlag, Falcon Pass, Ferguson, Gilmore, Goforth, Hall, Hyde, League City, McWhirter, Robinson, Ross, and Stewart.
The following intermediate schools feed into Clear Creek High School: Creekside, League City, Space Center, and Victory Lakes.
The new Clear Springs High School will take portions of the Clear Creek High School attendance zone when it opens in 2007 [4]. Bauerschlag, Gilmore, Hall, Ross, and Creekside will no longer feed into Clear Creek.
