[edit] History
ClearOrbit started as a consulting company Brouwer Palmer & Associates and was founded in 1991 by Larry Brouwer, Michael Palmer and Paul Palmer. Headquartered in Austin, Texas with a sales office in Mesa, Arizona.
In 1995, they developed into a software company. One of their first customers was Cisco Systems. It was at Cisco that they developed their first product, BP*LINK, originally called BCI or Barcode Interface.
Shortly after the development of BP*LINK, BP*LINK/APPS was developed to provide a simplified real-world approach to Oracle Applications. By using automated data collection and reducing and simplifying the number of fields a user must enter, BP*LINK/APPS provides rapid, error-free, on-line access to Oracle Applications.
[edit] Today
Today, ClearOrbit is extremely successful and has a very loyal customer base. They are considered the leader in Oracle Application mobile data collection software, particularly in process manufacturing. They have expanded their mobile data collection product line considerably and have also developed a substantial supplier collaboration solution as well.
