Clean Tourism
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Clean Tourism was developed as a response to the growing need of tourism companies to comply with and adapt to European and world-wide trends and standards in the tourism industry. It is directed to tourism sector companies such as hotels, pensions, holiday houses and restaurants. The ideas of sustainable tourism are closely linked to concepts of sustainable development. Numerous international declarations, conventions and programmes related to tourism emphasize the importance of linking economic, environmental and social issues.
