[edit] Mangkra Souvannaphouma

 • On your suggestion I saw " 22:41, 21 Nov 2004 Clawed m (Please help us correct "External links")"

The user before you, 01:39, 17 Nov 2004 216.183.37.75 deleted over 5 links and photographs, any did not give a explanation. I am new here, and have noticed this when I was looking over the information concerning Prince Mangkra Souvannaphouma.

The links and photos and he deleted were from 18:50, 16 Nov 2004 Jimmyvanthach (festival included Prince Mangkra Souvannaphouma)

I am not to good in updating some corrections, maybe you can help with this, why did 216.183.37.75 delete all the informational links and photographs also some vital information about his family members in the laos royal family--Saigon76nyc 23:38, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)--Saigon76nyc 23:38, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I reverted the Mangkra Souvannaphouma page and another page (Shwebomin)the same user had blanked. looks like vandalism.--Clawed 08:36, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Flaccid and erect human penis.jpg

How can the two pictures be of the same penis if one has a foreskin and the other does not?

Do you have these images in seperate, high resolution forms? If so, could you upload them to Commons... Leave the unified version for comparison. --Oldak Quill 20:28, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Done, Image:Human_penis_flaccid.jpg and Image:Human_penis_erect.jpg.--Clawed 11:16, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Are the two images of the same penis? The image caption on the original has been recently changed to describe them as two different penises. — Asbestos | Talk 16:07, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

They are of the same penis--Clawed 22:06, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Whose penis is it?

It is Clawed's penis. (Sorry if I embarrassed you) Clawed, could you perhaps put up some more photos of your penis? Pictures showing the gliding motion of the foreskin would be very useful. A video would be even better. It would show the range of motion of the foreskin, from fully covering the glans, and slowly being pulled all the way back, revealing the inner layer of the foreskin. These would be very good resources. Don't be shy, you have a beautiful penis! (I really mean it!)

Possibly in a few weeks/months, but not at the moment--Clawed 20:07, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
I'm just wondering, how can the two penises be the same when one is intact and the other circumcised? By the way, I congratulate you for posting your pic on wikipedia. :)JSIN 08:20, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
The second image has the foreskin retracted (manually) --Clawed 03:05, 22 November 2005 (UTC)

Bravo, Clawed! And a handsome penis it is!    PL  1 Jun 2006

[edit] Sectstub & Sect-stub

These two templates are not the same. The reason why they didn't render correctly is because people failed to use the template correctly. I have reverted your changes based on this fact. -- AllyUnion (talk) 12:57, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Hey Clawed? You are very couragious to show your penis in public! I say it is a great idea to also post a video :)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

You used the timestamp in your edit summary for your revert of Wikipedia. Try not to use to this in the future because the time shown in the history depends on the offset from UTC set in the individual preferences.--Clawed 07:08, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Commonwealth English

Are you sure that "ae" is used in all versions of Commonwealth English? If so, please put this info in this article. (I was revering the troll in Feces and was going to reinsert your change, but decided to confirm the issue first.) mikka (t) 02:13, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It is defineatly used in NZ english and AU english, I am not completly sure about the other englishes but it should be (the only exception possibly Canada). Most other wikipedia articles use Commonwealth English and American English for both common spellings (Color, etc) . Either way Commonwealth English is far more accurate than British English.

[edit] Debate

I understand there's a debate going on. MEANWHILE people shouldn't be forced to see those images --- wikipedia is frequented by all kinds of people, and though you might be fascinated with penises, most people don't open an encyclopedia looking for graphic images (an illustration should suffice). Yesterday, that image was used for vandalism of a template and showed up in hundreds of userpages unrequested. Porcher 14:53, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

if you think most people would search for "fart", then the article should be fart, no? that's what the policy says, i think -69.110.0.154

Yes the policy does say that but in this case I would think that it should be located at flatulence as it is more encyclopedic than fart--Clawed 07:08, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Suicide Methods

Hi, Clawed. I see that you at least read it. I thought I'd tell you that I am saddened when people don't go out with a bang (literally oftentimes, with the bang of a gun, but I mean, they don't make the news as much). Those who simply kill themselves might appear on the obituaries, or a small article on page 3 of their local newspaper, but that's about it.

Oftentimes why suicide happens is because they're unhappy with the world for a lot of reasons, and deep down, they wanted to change something about it.

I'm nowhere near suicidal and hope to NEVER be, but if I were to decide to take my own life, a likely way (AFAIK) would be to steal a semi truck (a fuel tanker being the highest preference), drive it on the wrong side of the Interstate, and take out as many people as I can before taking myself. (Really, I hope to NEVER do this. Maybe in a video game, but not in RL.)

Why that method of suicide? Because when the utter chaos & carnage ensues, and I yell onto the CB Radio why I'm doing this and what needs to change in the world (or at least the country), this action would guarantee national headlines and my CB radio recording would be broadcast on numerous media outlets. Then when millions listen to what needs to change, these changes are likely to happen.

Has anyone ever committed suicide, or rather, murder-suicide, by driving on the wrong side with a semi? Can someone give a link to any news article that covers something like this?

As for me, I'm far more likely to write a fiction book about a character who plans to do this. --Shultz 14:29, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mislabeled photo in article "penis"

I am perplexed at your continued restoration of the incorrect label of a photo of an uncircumcised penis with the foreskin retracted as a circumcised penis which it plainly is not. You will note that the source of the photo is a Russian article; doubtless the latter is considerably less well known there than in Western countries. There is a photo of a circumcised (albeit mis-spelled) penis at

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Circumsized_penis.gif

and perhaps you would like to substitute that photo for the inappropriate one that appears in the article. It would be better to have a photo illustrating what the subsection of the article is discussing anyway.Masalai 00:25, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hawker-Siddeley Harrier - rm. disclaimer issue

Hi. I've reverted your deletion of the disclaimer at the top of the controls and handling section of the above article. Please don't remove material without leaving an explanation, unless its obviously patent nonsense (my policy at least). I know it looks silly, but you never know what ideas a 'how to' on harrier pilotage might give people! I pasted the text from the Helicopter Pilotage article, where it remains. Please leave your answer on the talk page.--ChrisJMoor 02:28, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

This has been discussed in depth at Wikipedia:No_disclaimer_templates#Why_they_should_not_be_used, that is why I removed the disclaimer.--Clawed 02:41, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Fair enough. But that is at present only suggested policy. Disclaimer messages or templates might have different merits in different cases. That subject has not been debated much. I propose that 'how tos' on activities that might be dangerous be suitably tagged. Because its only suggested policy, I suggest we leave the disclaimer for now. I'll ask Benet Allen (who is an actual pilot) what he thinks.--ChrisJMoor 03:02, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

But you must also realise that this is an encycylopedia, see WP:NOT Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information - Instruction manuals--Clawed 03:08, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Aye, I've read that. Isnt your query about the disclaimer though? Nevermind, you raise a good point. The section isnt meant to serve as an instruction manual or 'how to' (which is pretty much what the disclaimer points out) I added the section because I believe almost anyone who wants to obtain information about the Harrier would appreciate this information. If they read the disclaimer, they should also take it with a pinch of salt.--ChrisJMoor 03:40, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Mild remove disclaimer - I feel disclaimers make us look silly, as if we're trying to cover ourselves against legal action following a flight accident which might happen as a result of the pilot reading Wikipedia. This clearly isn't going to happen, but more importantly, it implies that we somehow understand and disown the chain of liability. I'm generally against disclaimers, but I try to be open to other opinions! The section itself is still interesting to pilots but in need of a style overhaul - too verbose. [edit] Forklifts

Hi Clawed! I'm sorry but I do not agree with you when you say it's not advertising to use a photo with one "branded vehicle". Everybody on Earth who works with forklifts can easily understand the truck in the photo is a Linde forklift truck. So I can see only two alternative solutions: or we delete it (and maybe replace with a drawing or else), or we state it is a Linde truck. But in the latter case we have to add also photos for at least the other four brands mentioned in the same article. Let's find an agreement!--Cortrex 12:27, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Penis Size

Hi. I made a comment at Talk:Human_penis_size regarding our difference of view, and explaining, in too much detail, why I had changed it that way. Please take alook before reverting, thanks. Atom 14:47, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I fixed the article again, after it was changed, again. I expressed priamry unit in cm, as all of the scientific surveys referenced expressed the data in their reports in centimeters. Also, put centimeters first and inches in parens as metric is the world standard, and not english measurement.

I'm kind of tired of changing the units back to what they should be, frankly. Why we can;t leave them in the same way they were expressed by the scientists who made the reports is beyond me.

Also, I can't understand how you can convert from centimeters to inches when you don't have the raw data from the reports to do so. Otherwise, the conversion to inches is only an approximation. I guess an approximation is better than not expressing english units. That way people who can't convert from metric to inches will know how their penis compares, without having to actually do a conversion. Atom 20:26, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

It would be much friendlier if users who have strong feelings about changing things would just spend the time to discuss the issue first, and then we can come to some kind of consensus, rather than forcing you view on a wide number of people who don't agree. Atom 20:26, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Please read these when you have a moment:

WP:MOS Units of Measurement

Wikipedia:Assume_good_faith

Wikipedia:Civility

Wikipedia:Harassment

Wikipedia:Three-revert_rule

Best to you, Atom 20:26, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Millimetres are slightly preferred over centimetres (see centimetres) and since almost all of the results are reported to thousands of a metre it makes sence to me to use millimetre, but I am not going to revert that.
I have constantly had to fix your edits because you keep messing up the units and now you blame me for some reason.
Generally the units in the study are reported first and then if they are non-metric conversions are provided that are metric. :The units should be formatted correctly with a space between the value and the unit symbol and using the proper symbol or abbraviation (inch is in but not "). Use digits and unit symbols for values in parentheses.
Here are some of examples of your edits where you have edited the units in a non-standard way and I have had to change them back.
Your edit here: [2]
 • Removed conversions 6.74 inches (171 mm) => (6.74 in)
 • Removed the measurements from the survey 164 mm (6.5 in) => (6.5 in) (The survey was reported in millimetres)
Your edit here: [3]
 • The survey was reported in millimetres and you changed all the measurements to inches
Your edit here: [4]
 • Did not check that there was no quotation and reverted
Your edit here: [5]
 • Removed measurements that were formatted correctly and added back measurements that were not formatted correctly
 • 164 mm (6.5 in) => 6.5 in.
 • 6.26 inches (159 mm) => 6.26"
Your edit here: [6]
 • Again removing measurements, conversions and formatting in a non-standard way
Your edit here: [7]
 • At it again
I have had to spend a lot of time getting the measurements and citations correct for the article to improve its quality.I would appreciate it if you actually looked at and understand WP:MOS Units of Measurement before editing measurements or reverting changes --Clawed 11:51, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi. I will read the WP:MOS yet again to see what I may have missed before. I also have the same goal of improving the quality of the article. I am happy to comprpmise with you, or anyone else when it is clear that it improves the quality of the article.
*First, I've made an effort to try and make everything shown in cm, since in all of the scientific articles, it is shown in cm, as this probably is how people in that field measure and perceive things. Even if it was not, clearly it maintains the integrity of the original source. I don't see how changing cm to mm can improve the article in any way, if it was expressed in the research as cm. SInce it is easy enought to convert by anyone, maintaining it as referenced seems (to me) to be the best course.
 • At one point I objected to doing conversions from the referenced cm to inches, as it can only be an approximation, and without the original data to the right level of accuracy, only a guess. After some thought, I considered that it isn't really data whose accuracy (the that level) is really of any high importance, and if an approximation helps people unable to visualize what a cm (or mm) measurment may be in inches, I could live with that. SOmeone else at that time removed all of the english measurements. Which, since all of the English speaking world is offically metric, should be okay. But, as English measurements are very commonly used still in Egland and the U.S. (with metric equivalent) it does make the article "friendlier". If you want to put in english measurements in parens -- why not? Yes, I know that the wp:MOST suggests putting the primary unit first, and the converted unit in parens, but they are, after all, guidelines, not rules. In my mind a standard format of all measurements in cm, with english units in parens for easy reference) gives the best readability to the article.
 • I don't believe I have, anywhere, changes in or inches to ". It might be possible that with the many new references I added that I added one thqat was a direct quote from the cited source, intending later to clean it up and express the unites in a different manner.
 • The only source I find that gives inches for measurements, is the non-scientific surveys. They aren't of high priority, and if we express that data in the same manner as the other data (cm first, and in in parens) it reads better. I'm not as concerned in those cases about maintaining the exact nature of the citation, as they are unscientific, informal surveys.

Let's talk about it, lets agree, and then let's work together to keep the article cleaned-up according to what we agree. It's only an article on Penis Size, and not something of overwhelming importance. If you HAVE to put the original cited source units first and the conversion afterward in parens, I can live with that. It just seems cleaner to follow one standard.

Regards to you, Atom 16:41, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
