[edit] Comment on your contributions to Moab Tailings
Hi, I've just got a comment about an artical you edited. I was looking on the comments on the Moab Tailings artical and I noticed that you edited it (capped pond not pile). Now even though you where correct, it is most often referred to as a pile not a caped pond. I know this because I lived in Moab for 18 years, and I have both friends and family on the team that will be moving it.
[edit] HILDA
Hello there! Have taken care of HILDA and Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey. Both the pages are now linked to the same article. Please go ahead and expand it further :-) WP appreciates your contributions, and I am impressed and appreciate that you have realized not to copy+paste, but rather move the page. Nevermind the error in this instance, for am sure you would take care of that in the future. Also, Village pump could be your best friend while you need assistance or information, and of course, do let me know if you need a hand. Cheers! --ΜιĿːtalk 10:32, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] SPSS
Thank you for expanding the SPSS article - I intended to do it myself, but my English is rather poor and my time limited. Keep up the good work! --Ioannes Pragensis 07:43, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Confest
Yeah, that revert was about the previous edit prejudice against anonymous users. That and that I was tired and out of breath at the time, which are of course all bad reasons for reverting someone's work! My thoughts about the massage thing in particular was that massage was more a matter of individual workshops, but actually thinking about it now I remember that there was a massage area at the last Confest I was at, so I'll change that back. Sorry, and thanks heaps for letting me know about my mistake! mgekelly 14:31, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion
I noticed that you tagged the page Potamology for speedy deletion with the reason "Wikipedia is not a dictionary". However, "Wikipedia is not a dictionary" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use Wikipedia:Articles for deletion if you still want the article to be deleted. There is no need to subst speedy deletion tags. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 12:46, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] helpme
Can't list Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marie Casimire Catherine, Comtesse de Saulx on AFD with {{subst:afd3|pg=Marie Casimire Catherine, Comtesse de Saulx}} text gets displayed appended to previous afd ie the section heading is missing. Too long or because of comma? Clappingsimon talk 12:38, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, this is because the afd2 template was not used to create Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marie Casimire Catherine, Comtesse de Saulx. This is what provides the section heading, and it will be missing in the AfD listing page if it is not used. I've fixed it. Cheers, Tangotango 12:53, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: SL product submissions
I'm actually w/ the co. and am trying to break off into definition pages. I took out superaltives but didn't think there would be copyright issues when I'm posting my own company's facts. What is my best way to go about posting objective product descriptions? Thx. Mandyfay112 15:42, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion
I notice You tagged Image:Animated-Tourbillon.gif with {{db-copyvio}} for speedy deletion, but that only affects articles, not images. Please use {{imagevio}} for reporting image copyright violations. Thanks, feydey 10:19, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image links
I saw your message to Freewilly. You can prefix image links with colons (:) to link to them without the image showing up. That's particularly useful when you link to it multiple times as you did. :) Personally, I think his name could be related to Free Willy. Most newbies don't know a thing about copyright and they always forget to read instructions. Besides, it's not Willy's style. - Mgm|(talk) 12:58, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Kite redirects
I did forget to fix a double redirect, Kite flying, but you did that for me earlier. I can't see any other problems.--Commander Keane 01:59, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Defatting
Thanks for explaining the hoax. In the future, hoax is not a CSD criterion and must be discussed at AfD. Patent nonsense is text such as "dfghjfjbhhjbjwhbvlghbwlvn." That was a bit more coherent. Thanks again. - CrazyRussian talk/email 12:59, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] beta globin LCR
Thanks alot for your additions to the beta globin LCR article. It is one of the most extensively studied loci in human genetics, surprised there was no article before. Feel free to add more insight into the sickle cell trait, which i know very little about. I will be adding stuff periodically. I am figuring out the formatting for citations and getting a little better at it. cheers. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Frederickmercury (talk • contribs).
[edit] request for mediation
Greetings, I have begun the second step in the dispute resolution process by requesting formal mediation. I felt that I should include you since you took part in the informal mediation. I hope I'm not dragging you into something you aren't interested in being part of. Just trying to do what ever is right. Thanks for your work on the Rainbow Gathering article. Oceankat 23:40, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/rainbow gathering, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible.
- Thanks, but I'll excuse myself from this one, as I'm only involved peripherally. Cheers --Clappingsimon talk 09:10, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Editing my article on Benares Gharana
Hi,
I'm new to Wikipedia, so I don't want to start a big stink, however, I am involved in academia, so some of this editing comes as a surprise to me.
I am wondering how this phrase is a religious point of view:
"It is interesting to note that the Benares gharana is the only one to have been started by a Hindu; the other five gharanas were started by Muslims."
This is not an opinion; it is a statement of fact, and it is relevant to Indian culture, and it is an interesting point as it has an effect on some of the repertoire performed by this gharana. Would it be better if I removed "It is interesting to note that" and just write "The Benares gharana is the only one to have been started by a Hindu; the other five gharanas were started by Muslims."
? I just don't think facts should be watered down... Shawntabla 21:53, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Discussion on the statement's context and interpretation moved to Talk:Benares gharānā Clappingsimon talk 19:10, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My bad. Thanks for the heads up.
I will be removing the watermarks within a couple of days; sorry for breaking the rules, but I also wanted to ask if there is a license or whatever that does NOT make my work free for use by anyone, but that gives me full protection except that I allow my images to be used freely on Wikipedia. If this exists, how do I license my images like that? Thanks a lot. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Steevven1 (talk • contribs) 03:37, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Sockpuppet?
No, I am not a sockpuppet of Bobby Boulders or any other vandal. If you have any proof that I am such, feel free to release it, but please don't blatantly accuse me of being a vandal sock unless you do have proof.--Azer Red Si? 06:32, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
