[edit] National Junior Horticultural Association

The article National Junior Horticultural Association has been expanded. Please take a look at the current version and make any improvements that seem to be needed. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 02:25, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summaries are important

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 02:25, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Open Stage

The official website linked there displays the name in lower case. So do we make it lowercase or upper case? Stevage 14:36, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Color change in leaves

Hello. You added a cleanup template to this article less than a minute after it was created. Please note that the creator of said article is an established editor with no ill history, but, more importantly the edit summary clearly states that the article is from a public domain source. For copyright reasons, at least one revision should keep the text from said source intact. You'll note that a few minutes afterward, the original editor had cleaned up it, which they had been doing in the time when you tagged it — in the future, please be more careful about blindly tagging articles. Thank you.--SB | T 03:42, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome messages

It's {{subst:welcome}} - which causes the message at Template:Welcome to appear. HTH! ЯEDVERS 16:11, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

I noticed you were posting a lot of them, you may want to copy the text from {{Welcome}} and paste it on User:Clamster5/Welcome. You can then edit it and make it your own. Next, you can substitute it

[edit] Welcome, Clamster5!

Hello, Clamster5, and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm Clamster5, one of the thousands of editors here at Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

By the way, we don't let people create articles about themselves in the encyclopedia, so I've moved your to your user page. Thanks. Clamster5 16:41, 21 October 2006 (UTC) on the pages. Cbrown1023 19:10, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank you! Clamster5 19:12, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
After an edit conflict: Ah! Sorry, misunderstood! My template is here: User:Redvers/Welcome
Probably better to not use it directly. If nothing else, it is hard-coded to my name! So, visit the page, click edit and copy the contents. Then go to this new page: User:Clamster5/Welcome
Paste the code, then change all references to User:Redvers and User talk:Redvers to your own user name. Save the result.
Now you can type {{subst:User:Clamster5/Welcome}} on to talk pages and you'll get a copy of my old/your new message to welcome new users.
As a rule people only welcome users who have made at least one edit, and a non-vandalous one at that. But it's up to you! Cheers! ЯEDVERS 19:14, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you! I'm fairly new myself, so this was a big help. Clamster5 19:16, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy Deletion: Jaclyn DeSantis

Although I do understand your point as to why you disagree with my speedy deletion tagging, I must point out that although she is an actress, is does not assert her importance. It simply states that she is an actress on an NBC show. I will, however, compromise in an effort to promote WikiLove, tag it with {{expand}}.

UPDATE: Per my NfD, the article appears to already have been deleted. Bellito 20:54, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Actually the article is still there. Clamster5 21:24, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Well stop reposting it on my talk page 'cause I don't want it there. I've seen your message and I want it GONE. Stop it please.

(Note: This is from a user who put a speedy delete on a page without a valid reason. He continually removed my comments from his talk page as well as at least 1 other user's comments about his misuse of speedy deletion on a seperate occasion. Clamster5 03:31, 29 October 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Thanks Clamster5

Thanks Clamster5 for your message. I appreciate that Wikipedia has a lot of articles, but I believe the articles I'm creating are huge gaps of knowledge that need filling in. Don't worry, I'm forever tidying up articles and expanding other people's stubs too! Cheers DRyan 01:06, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] King of All Kings

Hi there, please don't remove CSD tags from articles you've created yourself, if you wish to contest the nomination please put a [{hangon}} template on the article so it can be appropriately discussed. Elomis 08:20, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
I didn't create this article. A quick check of the history would have shown that. Clamster5 12:20, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

You are the first person to edit it while logged in, regardless, please place a hangon template rather than spuriously removing the CSD tag. Elomis 19:19, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Interesting, I can get in trouble because I have a username, but the person without one gets nothing.... Clamster5 07:17, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Clean-up pages

I saw your message on my talk page and I wanted to say I would be glad to help and I'm already doing that. I'm cleaning up most of the singles in the archive (with or without clean-up tag) and I'm working on the girls Aloud singles right now, actually being busy with "Long Hot Summer". I'll start soon on the pages that interest me with clean-up tags, but first I've got to finished unfinished business. Thanks anyway :) -- Luigi-ish 13:09, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Clean up

Hello there. Just a little suggestion: when posting your clean up message, try to substitute it (instead of {{User:Clamster5/cleanup}} use {{subst:User:Clamster5/cleanup}}), as message templates that do not categorize should be substituted. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 13:09, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You're welcome

...for the support on Chapter 14, and I'm only sorry it still wasn't quite enough in the end. I respect you calling a halt by merging the page on your own, since that's the way it was clearly going... still, I've never understood why some people get so anxious to delete perfectly harmless pages, as though an article on a 13-page pseudo-"book" in keeping with the obvious spirit of the series means that there's one less page available for everything else. Very frustrating. Thanks for giving it a try, though. --Arvedui 12:16, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding template

Well, here's a little something just for actually bothering to reply to my message.

Bellito 17:16, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. [edit] License tagging for Image:Popularnovel.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Popularnovel.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:07, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chapter Fourteen

I didn't remove Chapter Fourteen's section. All I did was attempt to better integrate into the main plot article and removed the unneccessary plot header. All of the information that you added is still there. There's even reference to it being the fourteenth chapter.--CyberGhostface 20:26, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Good Work

Thanks for your good work on marking new articles for speedy deletion. Keep up the good work! Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 17:49, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

If you're going to mark articles for speedy deletion, you should post a note on the talk page of the article creator and any contributors of significant content. It's a simple courtesy that goes a long way to prevent edit wars, hard feelings and bad karma in general. Unfocused 18:44, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi!

Hi! Thank you for your invite, and excuse-me for the mistakes: I'm Italian, and I studied English at school. I think I can help the project with interwiki at the it.wiki, but maybe I'll start write something also on yours wikipedia! Bie, --Simscar ;-) 17:40, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template problem

Hiya, I noticed that your welcome template was causing some kind of trouble at User_talk:emarv, by causing the section "edit" links to not line up properly. I fixed the problem by "subst"-ing your template, but I wanted to let you know, in case you wanted to try and update the template. FYI, --Elonka 21:52, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

I would like to inform you that I will be the mediator in a Mediation Cabal case you are a party of. See the page here.

[edit] Thanks

Hey, thanks for the invite! I would be very happy to join the WP on Series of Unfortunate Events. By the way, I saw your talk page, and it seems we have alot in common (cheese rules). Anyway how does the WP work? Bio 20:11, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I am bored

I have lifted the speedy tag that you placed on I am bored and I want to explain why. There is already an article on this website I-Am-Bored.com so I have converted I am bored to a redirect. Mind you, I am not sure that I-Am-Bored.com would survive an AfD! TerriersFan 23:29, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ASUE

Hi, i have read your message but i couldn't be really useful to the project because i haven't read these books but I'm good in translating English in Italian (but not so good in the other way round) and i would like to help a my friend in translating some articles that aren't in the italian Wikipedia. So, i couldn't help the english project :) Sorry, [Filnik | Talk! | Discus] 14:18, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Matts lyrics.

I saw that you tagged this article for speedy deletion, of which it is certainly deserving. However, I want to caution you to be sure to leave a tag on the creator's talk page. This guy is a persistent poster of patent nonsense, and the more warnings he receives, the better the case will be for a block. Thanks. And keep up the good work. Cheers! ---Charles 17:59, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, it is rather a moot point now, as the article has been deleted. ---Charles 18:08, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you!

Thanks for the hearty welcome, Clamster. I really wish my name was ArtifexCrastinus instead of Deathgecko now. At least I can use that in my siggy... I saw your page and noticed you like Latin. I took 2 years of Latin and still enjoy it. Can you guess what my would-be name means? --ArtifexCrastinus 00:15, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Problems with User:Clamster5/Invite

The inclusion of this subpage on talk pages is causing the section edit links to not line up. Clicking on any section edit link following the inclusion of this template always opens the next section following, not the section with the edit link. This is due to your use of the <h4> tag in the subpage. I've reverted your reversion of my changes to the template. Please make sure you have resolved this issue before changing the template back. —Doug Bell talk 22:38, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Katharine Close

I reverted back your re-addition of the {{US-bio-stub}} to that article. The article has sufficient information to rate being considered either a Start-class or a B-class article on Quality scale. While it still needs additional work, it is no longer a stub. Caerwine Caer’s whines 20:20, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
