Claudia D'Addio
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Claudia D'Addio is a Swiss singer who is well-known in her home country as a successful participant in the 2004-2005 reality television show MusicStars. The show set out to find the next batch of musical talent in the country, and D'Addio proved to be one of the final few in the show.
D'Addio is a native of Switzerland, but has Italian roots. Upon entering MusicStars she became known as "The Voice", standing out in the show due to her passionate and strong vocal performances. She remained in the show until its later stages, featuring on many of the MusicStars' group releases, including their three Swiss number ones. D'Addio did not, however, make up part of the MusicStars who represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 as Piero and the Musicstars.
In November 2005, D'Addio was confirmed as one of the six members of Six4one, a musical group created by Ralph Siegel and the Swiss national broadcaster SRG SSR. The group was created for the sole purpose of representing Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens, Greece. Along with D'Addio, the group includes the likes of the well-known vocalist Alcazar's Andreas Lundstedt.
