Classic Albums Presentation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Classic Albums Presentation is a Canadian music program that airs on BPS Television. Each of the 10 episodes created features an acclaimed album, (sometimes a live or 'best of' album), that is played in its entirety. Because it is an album being played, and not a concert, there is only audio and no visuals of the song being performed. The visual shown on the TV screen is the album's cover, and the track number and time (a similar format to the Yule Log on Christmas Day). The program is shown without commercial interruptions. The albums featured on the show include:

Nirvana - From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah

The Beatles - Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

Paul McCartney - Choba B CCCP-The Russian Album

The Best of Willie Nelson

Michael Jackson - Thriller

Aerosmith's Greatest Hits

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours

U2 - The Joshua Tree

Madonna - The Immaculate Collection

Metallica - The Black Album.

The show was loosely inspired by VH1's Classic Albums and by Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums Ever Made. The show never had a large audience because people can listen to their favourite albums practically anwhere these days and therefore don't need to watch it on TV.
