Claro is a mobile phone network in Brazil, Peru, Chile, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala,owned by América Móvil.

The Claro brand was launched in 2003, in Brazil, by the merger of América Móvil-owned operators ATL (Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo), BCP (São Paulo metropolitan area, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Ceará, Paraíba, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte), Americel (Acre, Tocantins, Rondônia, the Brazilian Federal District, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul), Tess Celular (other areas of São Paulo state) and Claro Digital (Rio Grande do Sul). Currently, Claro also operates in the states of Bahia, Sergipe, Paiui, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Minas Gerais.

Claro was launched in Peru in October 11th 2005, after the acquisition and rebranding of TIM Peru by América Móvil.

The brand was launched in Chile on August 6th 2006, after the acquisition of Smartcom PCS.

Claro was launched in Guatemala on September 7th 2006 as a rebranding of the national PCS Digital and Alo de PCS brands. In Guatemala, it has more than 2 million suscribers under this new brand, with services on CDMA and GSM technology.

The brand war launched in El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua on September 2006 as rebranding PCS Digital, Alo, Personal and Enitel brands.
