Clarice McLean

Clarice (Dollie) McLean is founding executive director of the Artists' Collective, Inc. of Hartford, Connecticut. She was raised in New York City, where she studied dance under Katherine Dunham, Jon Leone Destine, Asadata Defora, and Martha Graham. In 1970 she and her husband Jackie McLean joined bassist Paul Brown, dancer Cheryl Smith, and visual artist Ionis Martin in establishing the Artists' Collective.
